Abstract/Summary:
Strain No.549 was discovered to be the mostcompetitive Lovastatin producer of the five Lovastatin producing strains that were maintained in our laboratory. It was irradiated with Nd:YAG laser. It yields mutant strain T013 which was discovered to be the most potent Lovastatin producing strain. The Lovastatin content of the ferment production was determined by HPLC. My research shows that rice is the most moderate carbon source of the medium, compound D is the best nitrogen source, compound C is the best trace element additive, and the proper humidity of the medium should be 50%. The most moderate breeding condition for ferment is: Temperature 28, the thickness of the medium is 2.5cm incubation capacity is 12%, the originalpH for medium is 5.0, and the culture cycle should be 14 days. The optimum extraction solvent was also discovered to be the ethanol liquor with the consistence of 70%~80%.Thepreprocessed sample was refined by silica-gel column chromatography and finally a sample with the purity of 98.6% was obtained.
