Abstract/Summary:
In the thesis, the history, principle, problems and prospect of the wet-type solar cells are reviewed. At the same time, Characterization of soild solutions and electrical property of TiC>2 are introduced.Tii.xVxO2 solid solution films were prepared by sol-gel method in order to study electrical property. It is revealed that the decreasing of resistivity and increasing of Hall mobility( u H) or carrier concentrations(N) are resulted from the vanadium increasing in the region of x=0~0.10. While the result was reverse at x=0.15 because crystallization of vanadium oxide appeared. Further, in order to study the crystallization and valence band shtucture, the Tii-xVxO2 solid solution powders are prepared. The result showed it is favorable to TiC)2 transtiting from anatase to rutile phase with increasing x or temperature.. Also the valence band spectra were measured by X-ray photoelectrical spectrum (XPS) for the first time. It is observed there have two main features centred about 8eV and 25.3eV below the Fermi level. And they represented O2p band and Ti 3d band separately. The O2p band closed up to the Fermi level when the content of vanadium was increased.Moreover, as TiC>2 electrode can't absorb the visible regions of solar spectra, Pure and Pb doped TiC>2 thin films have been prepared by the sol-gel method. The effects of lead incorporation on the crystallization behavior of TiC>2 were investigated by an X-ray diffraction analysis.The optical absorption spectra were measured by a Lambda UV-VIS spectrophotoeter. The electrical properties of the films were studied by measuring their resistance using a ZC36 high resistor.The results showed that pure TiO2 films are single anatase phase and the incorporation of lesd destroys the crystallizations behavior of Ti02- While the PbTiOa compound is the main phase when the content of lead exceeds 50% in the system. It is also observed TiC>2 phase and PbTiOs phase have the epitaxial tendency. The crystallization behavior of all become stronger with tempereture increasing. The optical absorption edge shifted to the shorter wavelength compare to x=0, but also shifted to longer wavelength when xincreased. The evolution of the resistance can be ascribed to the crystallization of the films.
