| As a precision manufacture technology, electroforming using electrodeposition of metal on a cathode mandrel to make products has successfully been applied in many advanced technology fields. However, its further application and development have been limited by some problems in practices, such as the long processing time, the poor metal distribution, some defaults emerging in deposition layers and so on. To avoid these problems, the paper proposes a new technology梟umerical control jet electroforming.Firstly, we established the theoretical model of this technology, including electric field model and hydrofield model of the electroforming area. Based on these models, we discussed the main reasons leading to the defaults of electroforming and measures improving the quality of electroforming.Secondly, numerical control jet electroforming machine was built which successfully satisfied the demands oft experimentation. We carried out prephase experimentation. Finally, on the foundation of the prephase experimentation, we explored some application of numerical control jet electroforming, including two main directions ?making parts with deep grooves and directly forming metal parts. |
