The new molybodovasndlphsphoric tetrabasic heteropoly compound containing rare earth element La was synthesized. The suitable synthesized process was discussed. The new compound was characterized by ICP, IR, UV, XRD, TG TA and C. The results indicate that the structure of new compound belongs to Keggin type and double 1:llseries. Its decomposition temperature is related to the strength of bond in IR spectrum. The selective oxidation of ethylbenzene to acetonphone and selective oxidation of toluene to benzoic aldehyde were regarded as probe reactions to test the catalysis activity of new compound. The results illustrate its excellent catalysis activity in selective oxidation a carbon in benzoic. The suitable reaction conditions of two compounds were investigated. The 10:1:10 series, Keggin type heteropolymolybdovanadate containing lanthananum was synthesized. The suitable synthesized conditions were discussed. The new compound was characterized by ICP, iR, UV and DTAG. The selective oxidation of ethylbenzene to acetonphone was regarded as probe reaction to test the selective oxidation. The H202 decomposition in this reaction was studied.
