Organic nitrogenous polymers belong to separating materials that have the character of chelating bonds with some metal ions. Because of their high adsorbing capacity, especially of their adsorbing selectivity to dear, rare, and heavy metal ions, they are of comprehensively applicable value in analysis, metallurgy, water treatment and ocean source utilization. Using the silica as a support and using the kinds of organic compounds to form a choromatographic column packing materials are a new way to raise the applicable efficiency of organic nitrogenous polymer and to open up an route of the fast and convenient dynamic selective separation. This paper worked on the nitrogenous composite separating material based on silica. It mainly includes five parts:1. Development of Ion Separating Polymer Materials;2. study on the technique of surface hydration for porous silica;3. the synthesis and characterization of the active film / silica composite material with its end group containing bromine;4. Preparation of Nitrogenous Polymeric Composite Separating Film Based on Silica;5. adsorption property investigation of the nitrogenous composite separating material based on silica.A great number of domestic and aboard literature were summarized in the paper. This paper reviewed the progress of study on absorption process of metal ions and the study on heavy metal chelating agents. The preparation of PEI(poly(ethylene imine)) / SiO2 composite separating material was analyzed. The study on surface treatment of porous silica was reported. And the changes of content of hydroxy (-OH) and of hydrophilicity after the tretment by the means of chemistry, microwave, plasma, etc were interpreted. The structure of OC on surface was studied by XPS. The active film/silica composite materialwith its end group containing bromine was synthesized. And its surface film structure and the bromine content were discussed. The effects of the content of KH-570 and of PEI to prepare the composite material were investigated and the optimum concentration KH-570 1% and the content of PEI which is 1.5 times that of silica was pointed out.The adsorption and desorption of Cu2+ in water on the new composite material and the regenerability of the material were studied by means of static and dynamic methods. The results showed that the static equilibrium adsorbance was 47.1mg/g composite material and the dynamic equilibrium adsorbance 86.6mg/g composite material, and the adsorption efficiency was over 90.2% with the regeneration over ten times.According to the above research results, the conclusions can be gotten as follows: the preparation of the nitrogenous composite separating material based on silica was successful and met the industry requirements. The preparation of composite PEI material led to a good solution to polluted water treatment. This technique can offer a sound theoretical basis for the further industry application.
