This paper is on obtaining high-purity manganese carbonate from the manganiferous waste water produced from the manufacture of 1 ,4-dihydroxy benzene, especially researching on its preparation from waste water Containing plenty of Calcium, natrium, ammonium and Sulphate, which can make the components of calcium, natrium and sulphate in products catch up with GB 10503-89 Grade.Setting out from the features of this waste water, we classify these impurities, use various ways to remove them and make the quality of products according with the criterion. In this waste water system, Calcium concentration almost reach 800mg/L. Calcium belongs to mixed-crystal impurity and must be removed in advance. After doing lots of experiments, we screens out the compound fluorine precipitaor to separate calcium from waste water. Its separation effect is good, and the problem of low -speed filtration in preparation also is solved; As for natriam and salphate in this system ( Natrium concentration is 300mg/L), we search on the factors influencing concentration of the impurities, such as temperature, manganese concentration, feeding modes and so on, and eventually optimize two methods,one is coincidentaladdation feeding, the other is mother-liquor-adding feeding, both could make the components of natrium and sulphate according with criterions.On the basis of the experiments in the laboratory, we operate the experiment in industrial equipment.Calcium-removing effect is stable, capability of filtration is good, product indexs accord with criterion, operation is easy and product cost is low.In a word, with the manganiferous waste water produced from the manufacture of 1 ,4-dihydroxy benzene as raw material, preparation of high-purity manganese ~ carbonate is feasible in technicality, reasonable in process and considerable inAeconomic benefit.
