AbstractCarbamyldicyanomethanide (cdm), N-methyl-ethenediamine,Thiocyanato and Bis(2-aminoethyl) sulfide have been selected asligands and six novel complexes have been designed and systhesized.The complexes include one-dimensional chain complexes{[Cd(cdm)2H2Q]H2O } and {[Cu(cdm)2.H20]'H20 } , mono-nuclear complexes [Mn(cdm)2(H20)4](H20)2, [Cu(NH2CH2CH2NHCH3)2] cdmC1Q4,[Cu(NH2CH2CH2NHCH3)2] .[Fe(CN)5N0] and[Cu(NH2CH2CH2SCH2CH2NHj(SCN)2].Thecomplex{[Cd(cdm)2H2O]H2Q}<sup>, demonstrates the stronger SHG effect andthe mechanism of the SHG effect has been studied preliminarily. Thetemperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibilities forcomplexes { [Cu(cdm)2 H2Q] H2O } and [Mn(cdm)2.(H20)4] (H20)2were measured and the magnetic analyses for the two complexes weremade. The magnetic parameter J that imply the magnetic interactionbetween the bridged Cu( 11) ions in. the complex { [Cu(cdm)2H20]+120 has been obtained and the discussion was madeon the factors that affect the magnetic interaction. The study on themagnetic data of the complexe [Mn(cdm)2H2O4](H2O)2 wasperformed. The micropores in the structures of the six novelcomplexes have been studied. The paper will provide the newinformation for the area of NLQ materials, microporous materials,molecular-based magnet and life science.The main characteristics and the contributions of this work3are1.A novel one-dimensional chain complex {[Cd(cdm)2H2O]H2Q},..which demonstrates the stronger SHG effect, has beensynthesized and the synthesis will provide useful information fordesigning and synthesizing the promising NLO materials.2.A novel one-dimensional chain complex {[Cu(cdm)2H2O]H2O}<sup>.has been synthesized and the temperature dependence of themagnetic susceptibilities of the complex was measured. Themagnetic interaction between the bridged Cu( IT) ions has beenfirst studied and obtained.3..The six novel complexes show distinguished microporousstructure and it will have a certain meaning in the field ofdesigning and synthesizing functional materials dealing withcatalysis and high purity substance separation.
