At present, the numerical simulation of injection mold mainly concentrated in forming process simulation of product, less considering the mechanical deformation of cavity in the injection molding process. Study on injection cavity deformation in the process of injection molding is great significance to the mold weight reducing, cost saving and product performance improving.In this thesis, a new mould structure analyzing method was proposed, which was based on injection molding simulation and mold structure stress analysis. The stress distribution of the surface of the part-cavity from injection molding simulation was loaded on the element surface of the FE model through the self-developed load mapping program,. Then, stress, strain and the deformation of cavity can get through the FEM software. Followings are the main accomplishments:(1) The algorithm of load mapping, which was the key technique, was deduced. The algorithm are extracting the mesh information and stress algorithm, getting the element stress of mold mesh surface, loading the stress on the mold mesh surface. load mapping program was developed. In order to check the precision of the load mapping tools, the simulation of the process of box-component forming was made. The results showed that the stress distribution was transferred to the surface of the cavity of the box-component accurately. And the load mapping tools were proved useful in telephone shell simulation;(2) The distribution of stress, strain and deformation on cavity in injection molding was performed in the simulation. The result showed that cavity load and the deformation climbed to the maximum when the clamping force reached the peak in the process of packing. The load mapping method was proved reliable by comparing it with traditional method;(3) Set the core of the mould which is used to form the plastic dustbin as target. The effects of the process parameters to the maximum deformation of the mould were investigated by Orthogonal experiment, the result showed that the deformation of the mould is heavily affected by the pack pressure, while it was less heavily affected by the melt temperature. But it was slightly affected by the other process parameters. The optimal process parameters, which helped to reduce the maximum deformation, were obtained by regression analysis.
