The coal plays a dominant role in primary energy in China, the mining conditions of most of coal mines are very poor, frequent mine disaster has posed a serious threat to the safety of miners. How to ensure the safety in production, and improve the efficiency of work, has become an immediate problem of coal enterprises to be solved. The Digital Video is advanced straight and clear. Mine remote video monitoring system helps to keep abreast of mine production conditions, reduce the incidence of mine. Optical Terminal is an important transmission and conversion equipment in Mine remote video monitoring system,therefore,it is very important of Optical Terminal Research.Combined Digital technology with the combination of optical fiber communication technology. In the dissertation, It introduces the design of a new Video fiber optic transmission equipment based on FPGA technology of the Programmable Logic Controller(PLC).In our design, we have implemented to four parallel Video send in one fiber at the same time with TDM and Serial digital video transmission.The hardware of the system involves Video Processing Blockset, Optical Transceivers, every interface with FPGA and so on.The Video Processing Blockset mainly selects AD9280 and AD9708 completes A/D and D/A. The Optical Transceivers selects Model NM365X-L/NM665X-L Bidirectional optical transceiver module which produced in The Hubei Wuhan QiSheng science and technology Limited company.The software of the system Mainly realizes by the FPGA.This article selects the CycloneII series chip EP2C35F6728C of Altera Corporation as the core processing chip.Its functions mainly is controlling of the A/D and D/A Converte of video, we have implemented TDM to data, 8B/10B encoding/decoding, parallel/serial, serial/parallel conversion. The article gave a debug platform of the system and the result of test finally. the experimental result indicated that this optical transmitter and receiver system operating performance was stable, the signaling effect was good, which is suitable in the coal mine video Video Surveillance System.
