In this paper, the process for extraction and solvent recovery was studied in a pilot equipment by using acetic acid-water-ethyl acetic as system. The separation technique was simulated by Aspen Plus software. The optimum operation parameters were presented and the results of simulation were verificated by the experiment data. The low concentration acetic acid solution was separated using ethyl acetic as extractant in the rotating disc contractor withφ80mm,44 of plate and 1080mm effective height of transfer unit. The influence of flow, solvent ratio and extra energy on height of transfer unit and constituent recovery was investigated, and the limited flux was obtained. The solvent recovery of extractive phase and raffinate phase were conducted in the sieve-plate rectification column withφ78mm diameter, 6.08% opening ratio and 15 of sieve plates. The factors of F factor affecting the solvent recovery was investigated, load characteristic diagram of trays in rectifying sections was obtained, and the operation parameters were determined. In addition, the combined operation of the two towers was realized under the optimum operation conditions:The energy consumption, the recovery ratio and economic evaluation were evaluated in the whole process.
