The gas is a product of geological processes, gas generation, migration and preservation conditions are controlled by comprehensive geology. The current coal seam gas occurrence is the result of coal seam with complex geological evolution. In this paper, using geological evolution and tectonic gradual control theory, combineing large statistics site measurement of the gas emission, gas content data, and observating tectonic coal distribution,we studyed influence of geological evolution history on the Shuangyashan Coalfield gas formation, storage, transport, cover, analysised characteristics of coal development and gas seam storage in Qixing mine, forecasted gas content and gas emission quantity of mine and calculated the coal bed gas reserves, forecasted area coal and gas outburst hazard,we aimed at diacussing geologic structure of the gas occurrence control characteristic in Qixing mine. Ji-Hei fold system is the controlling factors for coal basin of the Mesozoic-Cenozoic Era of eastern Heilongjiang Province;Shuangyashan Coalfield is under control of Southern Fault of Shuangyashan Basin,NE-NEE direction fault is tension-shear fault, they are advantageous to gas emission,NE direction fault is compression and scissor fault, they mostly reach to the seam outcrop and they are beneficial to gas transport and emanation, most gas escape to ground.Gas content varies directly with depth of burial and working thickness, depth of burial is the main factor which influence the gas emission of Qixing mine.Gas content of more than eight m3/t is predicted to area of coal and gas outburst hazard. The paper supplys reference for mine planning, mine ventilation design, use extraction of coal bed methane and forecast the coal and gas outburst harard.
