A series of post-treatments were proceeded to improve the anti-wrinkle property of cotton textile and to increase its quality of usage, and to give the fabric new performances, such as the properties of anti-ultraviolet and anti-bacterial,through those series of treatments in this article, in order to develop a mixed multi-functional new fabric products and enhance the products'qualities, applications, that make the traditional cotton textile towards the direction of multi-function properties and high additional value.First of all, anti-wrinkle finishing was conducted to cotton fabric. In this paper, anti-wrinkle finishing solution to deal the cotton fabric was producted with the cooperated techniques of chitosan (CS) and citric acid (CA). Cotton fabrics were treated with chitosan by a double-dip-double-nip process varying such parameters as the concentration of the citric acid, chitosan, catalyst, additive, curing temperature and time. The anti-wrinkle finishing process of the cotton fabrics with citric acid and chitosan were discussed with single factor. The orthogonal assays and analyses yielded an anti-wrinkle finishing process with the conditions as follows:chitosan 0.10%(o.w.f), citric acid 9%, DAP:CA=1:1 (molar ratio), triethanolamine 4%, JFC 2ml/L and baking 2.5 min at 170℃. Surface of the fabrics has been observed by SEM, the results showed that the small trenches of the cotton fiber surface were filled with chitosan and they became more flatter, smoother and uniform. Therefore, the surface properties of cotton fabrics were changed after treatments by chitosan, which decreased the fibers'specific surface areas. The test results for physical performances of finished cotton fabric showed that the crease resistant of cotton fabric has been greatly increased, and has a good whiteness, radial breaking strength retention and good washing performance. In addition, the influences of part of the dyeing properties of the cotton fabrics were studied in the above conditions. The results showed that, compared with no finishing dyed of cotton fabrics, the K/S values of the fabrics dyed by reactive dyeing and direct dyeing were decreased whether they were dyed first before finished or dyed after finished, in particular for the first. Furthermore, we studied the influences of part of the dyeing properties of silk fabric. The results showed that, the silk fabric's wrinkle recovery angles were markedly improved after finishing by that finishing solution, but its tensile strength and whiteness were decreased.Based on the above anti-wrinkle treatment formula, a kind of finishing solution was produced to deal with the cotton fabric by using Nano-titanium dioxides (nano-TiO2) to alternative DAP as a catalyst, so as to make the fabric acquire a good multi-function properties of anti-wrinkle, anti-ultraviolet ray as well as anti-bacterial performances. According to the studies, when the concentration of nano-TiO2 was 0.60%(o.w.f), the fabric gained high anti-ultraviolet and anti-bacterial performances and its transmittance of ultraviolet ray T(UVA) and T(UVB) decreased greatly. Through the treatment of this process, the average transmittance of ultraviolet ray at 280-320nm decreased 84.6%, which improved greatly anti-ultraviolet property of fabric.Experimental results showed that the cooperated treatments of chitosan and nano-TiO2 made cotton fabric acquire the good effect of anti-ultraviolet ray and antibacterial performance, good radial breaking strength retention and whiteness as well as better durable washing fastness. In addition, nano-TiO2 and chitosan each has some certain characteristics that make cotton textile become multi-function and high additional value textile, which can better satisfy with people for the need to the top-grade, and special functional fabric.
