Jiaozuo Coal Mining Area is located in the northwest of Henan Province, mining mainly the 2-1 coal seam of Permian, on top of which, sandy conglomerate in Permian , is the direct water filling layer. Besides, thin Carboniferous Limestone and Ordovician limestone aquifer are also the main sources of mine filling water.There will be a sudden water inrushing disaster when underground mining is encountered with hydraulic fault and enrichment zone of fracture water, with Permian limestone aquifer and ordovician water in mining area rushing into mines.Xinan Coal Mining Area and Eight Coal Mining Area of Pingdingshan Co.Ltd is the same as Jiaozuo Coal Mining Area in coal-bearing formation, and they all belong to the Carboniferous-Permian in north China. Water volume of bottom Carboniferous aquifer is relatively small, which has little impact on production. As indirect aquifers under coal seam ,Ordovician and Cambrian limestone water, are the most prone to sudden water accidents in case of faults contacting directly with coal seams.So, the flood hidden problems three mining areas are faced with is similar and of much danger. In order to ensure safe exploitation of coal mining and avoid water damage,it is necessary to analyze hydrogeological conditions in mines and quality of water-filling sources, and identify the source of water bursting into coal mines.First ,the paper, based on abundant hydro-geological data accumulated during production, combined with complementary hydro-geological investigation, finds out coal strata ,aquifer properties, tectonic and the law of hydro-geological features in three mining areas, analyses water-filling resource and channel ,summarizes the characteristics of inrushing water. Second, with water power field method, the paper qualitatively analyses how to determine the source of water filling mines. Third, using the hydro-geochemical method, combined with factor analysis of water chemistry characteristics of different aquifers factors,it identifies the six major factors which have effects on the characteristics of water filling resource as the discriminant regular ion factor, ,adopt discriminant analysis method to establish discriminant, determine the central value of the various aquifers in the discriminant function, quantitatively distinguish the source of water filling mines. Finally, in order to compensate for the shortcomings of its discriminant analysis test, Correlation method using tested in the factor analysis from the discriminant analysis based on the accuracycan be used, taking Jiaozuo Coal as example,.The results shows that the method is feasible. All in all, the detailed analysis of factor analysis and discriminant analysis on the water quality of three similar coal mines in various aquifers can make basis for supplying accurate and effective proof on those have similar hydro-geological conditions with three selected areas...
