The Statistical Analysis Of Natural Science Fund On Mathematics During 1999 To 2007

The data in this thesis is gained from National Natural Science Foundation of China and Science Periodical of China, the sample is selected from the state of foundation projects and published theses on mathematics during 1999-2007. On the base of analyzing the state of projects, this thesis researches the state of projects and the relationship between it and the amount of published theses in the methods of statistical analysis, by the use of SPSS Statistical Software.In the first chapter, the background of this thesis, common statistical methods and the source of the data in this thesis are introduced, and, the significance of the research is stated. In the second chapter, from four aspects projects, general projects, key projects and major projects and two levels mathematics and its branches, this thesis describes and analyzes the state of mathematics projects during 1999 to 2007. In the third chapter, the thesis researches the relationship between mathematics branches and the average of mathematics projects and theses, and, respectively, applies analysis of variance to examine the significance of the difference among them. In the forth chapter, date has been treated by two methods to eliminate the late effect, and, correlate analysis and regression analysis are applied to research the relationship between mathematics projects and theses, through two groups of data.
