Aim and methods:Recent studies are focused on prefrontal cortex. The prefrontal cortex is one of the latest developed brain area among cerebra, and also on structuring. Studies in basic and clinical domains suggested that prefrontal cortex maybe take an important role in the process of sophisticated recognition and study.Along with the high speed development in information and technology, people are exposed to heavy level of electromagnetic radiation. Central neural system is the most sensitive area in reaction to electromagnetic radiation .The prefrontal cortex is a particular part of the Center neuron system, bur there are very few studies in this area .Normal functioning of the brain is closed related to the EEG. ERP is one of the represention of brain function. It represents the senior function of brain, such as attention. The amplitude of ERP can effectively reflect the neural activity of prefrontal cortex. To explore the function and mechanism of prefontal in recognition and study, and the effect of 860MHz electromagnetic radiation on prefrontal cortex, we constructed the recognition and study model with guinea pig, and record the event related potential while training, observing the change of behavior and event related potential.Results1. Prefrontal cortex of guinea pig participates in different EBCC with different CS-US intervalThe longer the CS-US interval is, the more difficulties will show in the recognition task. So, the guinea pigs will need more time to get the eyeblink conditioning reflex. On another hand, the records of the event related potential while training shows: the longer the CS-US interval, the higher the neural activity in prefrontal cortex will show. But when the CS-US interval is longer than the CS, the neural activities in prefrontal cortex get decreased. 2. The effect of 860MHz electromagnetic radiation on the eyeblink conditioning reflex and ERP in prefrontal cortex of guinea pig860MHz electromagnetic radiation makes the rate of eyeblink conditioning reflex percent decreas during the first day, and the amp of the eyeblink conditioning reflex also decreased during the first and second day. 860MHz electromagnetic radiation also makes the amp of the event related potential in prefrontal cortex of guinea pig decrease heavily in the 3 days.Conclusion1. When CS and US get separated, the prefrontal cortex will be needed to serve as a"bridge"in order to make them finish CR. But when the CS-US interval get too long, and even longer than the CS, the prefrontal cortex participated in this process not too much. It is likely hippocampus will participate in this process.2. 860MHz electromagnetic radiation affects the rate of eyblink conditioning reflex and ERP in prefrontal cortex of guinea pig. Behavioral is based on the whole level, the animal could regulate itself; the electromagnetic radiation has complicated effect, so that the result of behaviol has no changes in some part. The event related potential can effectively reflect the neural activity of prefrontal cortex. So the 860MHz electromagnetic radiation affects the neural activity of prefrontal cortex.
