Magnetic fluid hyperthermia is a form of cancer hyperthermia. Because of more radical tumor removal, low toxicity, the treatment for deep, advantages of combined with the other treatments, magnetic fluid hyperthermia have attracted wide attention.Some basic works for magnetic fluid hyperthermia are presented in this paper, including heating law of magnetic fluid under alternating magnetic field, preparation of magnetic fluids, magnetic field devices, and automatic temperature control system, and focused on heating law of magnetic fluids under alternating magnetic field .Firstly, magnetic fluid preparation methods are reviewed. Secondly, followed by learning from the basic ferromagnetic theory of ferromagnetic, according to Shiliomis'theory, the power dissipation, the impact on power dissipation of particle size, magnetic field intensity, the magnetic field frequency and other influence factors have been calculated. Through analysis of the results, the impact of various factors on thermal power production is found. Thirdly, the magnetic field of the magnet unit conducted a preliminary design. It can work at 100kHz and the maximum magnetic field strength is 15kA/m. The design is proved by electromagnet of the relevant formulas. Finally, a preliminary design of the automatic temperature control system based on DSP is presented.Through this study shows that particle size has a great influence on power dissipation, power dissipation is proportional to the square of the magnetic field intensity and the magnetic fluid concentration; magnetic field frequency and power dissipation are not a simple linear relation; a magnetic field device for hyperthermia experiment magnet is designed, it was proved able to generate sufficient magnetic field strength in the air gap; an automatic constant temperature system structure based on DSP is designed, and the control flow chart is presented.
