In recent years, IC designers pay more and more attention to the research and application of multiprocessor system. As advance in performance of processors is much faster than the improvement of memory performance, memory system for multi-processor-on-chip has become an important restrict factor of both multi-processor system performance augment and practical applications. Global Positioning System(GPS) is a contemporary sophisticated satellite navigation and positioning system, which has presented extensive application value and development potential in the field of military defense and civilian area due to its advantages of all-round, global, all-weather, continuous real-time three-dimensional navigation and precise positioning capability. Pseudorange positioning assumes an important area of research and application in GPS navigation and positioning system.The processing algorithms of positioning data was studied in this thesis, and Kalman filter model of GPS positioning was established based on the basic principle of GPS pseudorange positioning. Memory system for multi-processor-on-chip has been discussed, then the processing algorithms of positioning data were achieved based on the multi-processor-on-chip system and memory subsystem. Main works of this thesis are as follows:1. Based on the current international research results on multi-processor systems, multi-processor memory system models was analyzed. Two memory structures, shared-bus and 2D mesh, were designed. Structure and compoment of multi-processor system were discussed, especially the communication mechanism and the memory hierarchy architecture. On chip memory classification was introduced and function of each memory components were discussed.2. GPS signal structure and the basic principle of pseudorange positioning were introduced, and the processing method of positioning data, Kalman filter GPS positioning algorithm, was studied in detail. Then based on GPS positioning principle, the GPS positioning model are established.3. The function of GPS position resolution was partially implemented based on multi-processor system, which shows the feasibility of the design of GPS navigation receiver based on multi-core SOPC.
