Research On Mesozoic Structural Features Of Qinggelidi Slop In Northeastern Junggar Basin | | Posted on:2011-11-25 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:L Lin | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2120360308467948 | Subject:Structural geology | | Abstract/Summary: | | | Based on the detailed interpretation on 2D seismic profiles anbalanced section technique, the Mesozoic structural deformation and evolution of Qinggelidi Slop in Northeastern Junggar Basin which is are discussed in this paper.On the fault map, there are two deformation areas in Qinggelidi Slop named northern and southern deformation areas, which are divided by the Karasay fault extending EW. The faults in the northern deformation area are dominant and extend NW, NNW and EW. However, the faults in the southern deformation area extend NNE and NE.On the seismic profiles, the structural styles of Qinggelidi Slop are the mainly faults of "y" and reverse "y" shape, as well as fault-propagation folds. This indicates that the compression deformation is more violent than the strike-slip deformation.These structural deformation happened during three main geological periods:the end of sedimentary period of Middle-Upper Jurassic Shishugou Group(J2-3sh), the end of sedimentary period of Middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation(J2x), and the end of sedimentary period of Lower Cretaceous Tugulu Group(K1tg).
