Hippocampal is an important tissue of brain with a great function of storing information.And it is a pivotal part that has a close relationship with the memory of human. Because hippocampal plays a special part in learning and memory, it is a primary object of neuroscience researching. With the development of neuroscience,people has made great progress in hippocampal structure,especially the study of hippocampal structure function and hippocampal network.Hippocampal can be divided into four parts,they are hippocampal cortex,dentate gyrus ,subiculum and entorhinal cortex, where hippocampal cortex is consists of CA1,CA2,CA3and CA4. CA1 and CA4 are so little that it is hard to identify,even there is no CA1 or CA4 in some animal's brain.So, generally, hippocampal cortex is simplified to CA1 and CA3. Many scholars ' study concentrate on CA1and CA3. In this paper,we mainly discuss the firing patterns of pyramidal neuron,interneuron and CA1 network.Firstly,we study the effect of external stimulation on pyramidal neuron firing and the ionic mechanisms underlying pyramidal neuron firing by constructing a neuron compartment model.Secondly,we simulate the interneuron firing.Thirdly, we study the principle of signal transfering between neurons by constructing a synapse model. Some of the results are consistent with the experimental phenomenon which implies that it is reasonable to adopt the models in the paper to research the property of CA1 network.At last,we try to construct a CA1 network which consist of eleven neurons to study the principle of how CA1 network code information.Neuron firing waveform carries Signal,different firing patterns means different information.therefore,the study of neuron firing waveform is very important to understand the theory of neuron coding.And there are many signs which can describe firing waveform, such as ISI,the frequency of firing ,the number of spikes per bursting and so on.we can study the feature of firing waveform in these aspects.In this paper, the method of computation adopted is runge-kutta and the main softwares concerned are C++,MatLab and OriginPro.
