In the construction process, As highway tunnel, rail tunnel, mining tunnels, water tunnels of a hidden engineering, because of the forward unknown geological conditions, we often encounter faults, fracture zones, underground river, high stress and other adverse geological. These adverse geological lead to landslides, debris flow, water gushing, water burst, rock blasting roof fall and other geological disasters. The emergence of these disasters often affect the construction schedule, cause casualties and bring to serious economic losses to the construction unit, the state and people. Therefore, leading geological prediction in the construction period is an extremely important task. This article first departs from the working principle of GPR and TSP, analyses propagation law, attenuation and other effects of electromagnetic wave, elastic wave in the medium. Secondly, according to different geological conditions, this article analyses ground penetrating radar and TSP different selection requirements on the parameters in the field data collection. Finally, because each geophysical means has their own advantages, such as GPR has strong sensitivity to water, however, detection range is short; TSP has long detection range and good effect on fault and fracture zone, but it is insensitive to response effect of water; a single geophysical means can not accomplish accurately forecast of the tunnel. Based on the GPR and TSP benefits of advanced prediction technology, we study and analyse GPR electromagnetic wave is strong sensitive reaction to the water to forecast ground state, and analyse reflected wave characteristics which TSP seismic waves generate in the uneven geological structure in order to accurately forecast the tunnel geological conditions, rock properties change and other characteristics. So we must colligate two geophysical methods advantages, exclude the possibility of multiple solutions for a single method, and provide reliable information for the tunnel construction going on wheels. For the GPR prediction of water, although electromagnetic wave is a strong energy reflection in the water, it does not mean all strong energy reflection is water, maybe the air, Another example is it is not easy to distinguish reflected wave in the soft interlayer or the water-rich in the TSP technology. Thus, we should colligate geophysical forecast to fuzzy distance in above-mentioned both cases, so that ensure the accuracy of prediction.Meanwhile, parallel to the tunnel near the fault zone to the saturated zone and the geometric shape of cone or cylindrical cavities in a single geophysical methods are often unable to recognize or identify poor, the application of integrated geophysical methods to judge in this case, identify which an accurate prediction.
