The finite element method (FEM) and the finite difference method (FDM) are the most important and mature ways of multitudinous numerical methods.However,the study area must be devided into a large number of gird in advance which makes the work of previous pretreatment more complicated in FEM and FDM.And with the development of depth of the problem and the expansion of research,some problems can not be solved very well because of its restriction on the grid of the element method.Element-free method (EFM) is absence of elments and abandons the idea of elements basically which needs only the information of the nodes and the boundary of the study area.The characteristics of local fitting of EFM which makes the resolution of the problems relatively simple and flexible.Of course, element-free method is not perfect. In order to obtain higher resolution, we have to increase nodes correspondingly which increased the cost of EFM. Therefore, under the fixed storage conditions, one way of increasing the calculation accuracy and the imaging resolution of EFM is at the expense of more time to get stortage space.Another is improving procedures algorithms. We tried both and the former is better.This article describes the formation of EFM and the history of the development process in detail,and the basic theory of EFM.Then ,EFM is used in seismic wave equation and pre-stack and post-stack seismic modeling and imaging in various models.At last,we experiment EFM in pre-stack and post-stack seismic modeling hand imaging in high-resolution. All of the results show that EFM has good adaptability for a variety of simple and complex models .The products are of high precision and clear image. |
