Up-converting fluoreseent nanocrystalline is a sort of material emits short wavelength light after exeitated with long wavelengthlight. Currently rare-earth ions as luminescent centers up-conversion luminescence materials in 980nm infrared light excitation, which could give different colors of visible light. Up-conversion luminescent materials has begun to be applied to all areas of life.This article first up-conversion luminescence materials and research status of principles are summarized,For the up-conversion luminescence of the matrix materials, whispered the child can, low toxicity, easy preparation, etc., this option Gd2O3 as a substrate material for rare earth Er3+,Yb3+,Tm3+ doped metal ions such as the use of high-temperature solid phase was prepared by Gd2O3:Yb3+,Er3+ and Gd2O3:Yb3+,Tm3+. A detailed study of the doping ion type, concentration, sintering conditions, flux of the light-emitting materials, such as crystallinity and luminescent properties. Studies have shown that doped Yb3+- Er3+ system, capable of transmitting red light, doped Yb3+- Tm3+ system of red and blue light emission. Luminous intensity and spectral distribution of Yb3+ / Er3+, Yb3+/ Tm3+ ratio directly related. Add Nacl and Licl flux can significantly improve the brightness. By studying the excitation power and the relationship between the luminous intensity to determine the red and blue light emission are two-photon process and up-conversion luminescence is discussed in detail the mechanism.
