While the international energy is less and less in the whole world market and the environmental pollution is worse and worse, almost all the countries in the world are struggling to use modern science and technology for the industrial transformation in recent years. According to the relative energy saving policies in China, the major projects in Hubei province which is a key dominant technology development and demonstration high-performance ceramic kilns and equipment (item number: 2007DA111) is combined with this research. Generally speaking, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Combustion science and other subjects are used as the theory and the ceramic technology requirements are the research guidelines. After that, the temperature field, velocity field and pollutant emissions in the ceramic roller kiln are known clearly by the means of computer science and technology. Ultimately a kind of green ceramic kiln which are not only high yield and good quality, but also long life and low pollution are eventually developed to guide the design and production of ceramic roller kiln.The whole work contents are listed as the following.Firstly, the modern mathematical theory of uniform design is used for the experiment arrangement to select the least sample with the most comprehensive information in the whole system. The structure of ceramic roller kiln multi-objective optimization is studied. As there are many relevant factors which can not be exhaustive test affect the study objectives, it's necessary to select the appropriate sample by an effective way.Secondly, the numerical simulation of CFD technique is selected as an appropriate method according to the actual kiln thermal characteristics and design experience. The most important thing is that the mathematical models of the furnace combustion science are scientifically selected such as turbulent model, radiation model, combustion model and pollutant model. Besides, the finite volume method is used for discrete each mathematical model, eventually the SIMPLE algorithm is used for the solving. Thirdly, the ceramic roller kiln optimization model is regressed by multiple regression theory in the mathematical theory of statistics.Finally, the multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm based on crowding distance is used for the model optimizing. The PARETO solution set is obtained for the decision-making personal decisions eventually. Combustion experimental data in practice shows that this optimization method is fit for the multi-objective optimization in the ceramic roller kiln structure.
