Study On Testing System Of Coating Young's Modulus By Resonant Method

Coating technology is used in industrial products more and more widely, in order to ensure the coating structure with performances of the anti-injury, high lifetime and high-intensity, above all have become an significant topic in the field of surface engineering.Young's modulus is one of the important mechanical properties of coating. However, testing methods of coating Young's modulus are hardly reported systemically, because of the tiny thickness of coating structural dimension.By investigation, the testing system of coating Young's modulus has been designed. And the testing equipment has been carried out, based on combined with the existing dynamic testing method of pure substance Young's modulus etc. The main conclusions are as follows:Firstly, on the basis of both limitations analysis of present testing methods of coating Young's modulus and current theoretical principle of the dynamic testing methods of pure substance Young's modulus, the hanging coupling resonance testing method of coating parameter is gotten. Then the theoretical model of hanging coupling resonance testing method of coating Young's modulu is established by coating material mechanical analysis.Secondly, the testing system platform of the hanging coupling resonance is set up, which includes choice of the transducer and hanging wire, design and assembling of testing platform and composite sample with coating, as well as design of testing circuit about the analysis methods of frequency sweep and leakiness and high frequency harmonic interference, data acquisition software programming.Finially, taking typical samples with rectangular section soft steel bar and plasma spraying ceramic coating, the resonance frequency of composite coating sample is measured by the testing system plateform. With the help of the theoretical model, coating Young's modulus is calculated with the design software. Meanwhile compared with the theoretical analysis, it is the feasibility to verify testing method.of coating Young's modulus.
