Preliminary Classification On Trichogrammatidae And Mymaridae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) From Parts Of Yunnan And Guizhou Provinces

This paper deals with the preliminary classification on the specimens of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae, (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea), collected from parts of Yunnan and Guizhou Provinces of China. Amongst the 582 specimens mounted on slides in Canada balsam, 12 genera in Trichogrammatidae and 17 genera in Mymaridae have been identified and described in this paper. Except for six genera (i.e. Oligosita Walker, Paracentrobia Howard and Trichogramma Westwood in Trichogrammatidae and Anaphes Haliday, Chaetomymar Ogloblin and Gonatocerus Nees in Mymaridae) that were previously reported in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, the other 23 genera were newly records in the two provinces.In the general account part of this paper, the systematic history of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae etc. were briefly reviewed and the geographical features of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, and specimen collecting and research methods were introduced. In the classification and description section, the morphology of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae was introduced, two keys to separate the genera of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae were proposed. The descriptions to each genus covered in this paper, the following information (in order): vernacular name in Chinese, scientific name, generic synonymy, type species, type locality, geographical distribution, host recods, diagnostic characters; etc. were included. All genera of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae were described and illustrated in detail.All the specimens used in this study were slide-mounted and deposited in Biological Control Research Institute of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.A list of the genera of Trichogrammatidae and Mymaridae known from Yunnan and Guizhou provinces as follows.
