In recent years, with the continuous development of theory and application research on detection technology, the degree of China meteorological informationization enhances unceasingly. As an important part of the Short-term weather forecast platform, Meteorological Information Comprehensive Analysis And Process System(MICAPS) emerged. At the same time, with the development of algorithm design and technologies, MICAPS gradually uses the way of good application and effect, to take more efficient use of resources, quickly adapt to change and seek greater development.In the process of weather map, the identification of slot line and shearline has been an important research focus. Because of the characteristic of changing quickly, short occurring and so much reasons for its formation, wind shearline is difficult to be indentified. How to identify the shear line automation and refinement is still an important issue.The contradiction between the increasing need of auto identification of wind shear line and service-oriented software architecture as the future direction of the research of MICAPS, is the starting point of this thesis. To improve the forecast efficiency of shear line related application in the meteorological forecast, and reduce the time, promote the construction of meteorological informatization, the thesis make a comprehensive study on MICAPS framework, A-star algorithm theory and the features of shear line identification. Through the analysis of the need of shear line identification in MICAPS, with Visual Studio 2005 as the development software, the paper design the function of wind shear line automatic identification, which includes shear line automatic identification, shear line drawing and show.The paper mainly discusses the key technologies and design of the shear line identification and shows parts of results. The paper also discusses how to load the shear line identification function to MICAPS. At the same time, the paper finishes the shear line drawing with OpenGL. Finally, the paper analyzes the advantages of current research of shear line identification algorithm, gives the research experience gained by the subject, proposes the deficiencies of the method and points out the direction of further study of this project to promote the research of it.The innovations of this thesis are mainly shown as follows:(1) Proposing a method of shear line automatic identification;(2) Analyzing the key technologies of shear line automatic identification, loaded the module of it to the MIC APS as a platform successfully;(3) Using the improved A* algorithm to achieve the shear line automatic identification.In a word, the paper gives the process from design to achieve of the module of shear line identification MICAPS-based, not only meet demand of meteorological forecaster for shear line automatic identification, which also save time cost of meteorological forecast informatization and meet the trend of future meteorological forecast. What's more, the research based on MICAPS adapting to framework and developing mode of MICAPS, is a kind of effective attempt of future upgrading the system.
