In order to elucidate the Water Utilization diversity in the role of the sustainable development of Quercus liaotungensis community.Comprehensive studies on water eco-physiology characteristics of the important populations in Quercus liaotungensis at early, middle, and late growing season. The water utilization diversity and community stability of dominant species in Quercus liaotungensis have been explained.1.The characteristics of age structures of Quercus liaotungensis populations to have progressed of Gonglu Moutain, yan'an.The No. of youth was large, especially the No. of seedling. And the community was sustainable development.2.At early, middle, and late growing season, plant water relation indexes of 12 dominant species of Quercus liaotungensis forest were determined. By statistics and analysis the different of water relation parameters of PV, the daily course of water potential, and the water loss process of leaves or branch among these plants growing in and out of forest. The water balance strategy of dominant species in Quercus liaotungensis at different stage of growing season have been explained. And water utilization diversity was one reason to ensure the community stability.3.The seasonal variation of water balance strategy of 12 dominant species in Quercus liaotungensis has been researched, The results show that: in whole growing season , the accommodation forms of daily course of water potential of these plants were coincident. Water potential was lowest at mid-growing season ,and highest at early stage. The seasonal changes ofΨaw,Ψwmin, PΨw and the rate of water loss at constant weight , Vo, Vo/DW, Ns/DW were diminished at mid-growing season and increased at late stage. The seasonal changes of PΨw-Ψwmin, n.w.s.d were increased at mid-growing season and diminished at late stage. And the seasonal changes ofψwtlp,ψssat,RWCtlp were early growing season>middle stage>late stage, The seasonal changes ofε, Natural water requirement were early growing season
