In order to provide fundamental information to the recovery and management of the wild animals in nature reserves. This thesis presents a study on the population, habitat selection, feeding structures and prey resource of lynx by using transect survey method and scatologic method in Saihanwula Nature Reserve in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region from 03.2008-12.2009. The main results were as follows:1. There were 9±5 lynx in Saihanwula Nature Reserve.2. Activity traces of lynx in Zhenggou core area were often in low elevation areas. More than half of the lynx's activity traces in Qingyunshan core area were spread in the ridge. The vegetation types distributed the activity traces of the two regions'lynx were time dependent.3. In the investigating period, the annual and seasonal food structure of lynx both exist significant difference. Grass rabbit (Lepus capensis) occupied the most important position of food structure of lynx. In the investigating period,4. The amount of the three most import preys-grass rabitte, rodent and roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) were relatively abundant. Lynx could be met the needs for survival by the prey resources. The amount of the lynx was stable in the nature reserves. And the prey resources were relatively abundant for lynx. However, human disturbance on the lynx had obvious negative effects.
