Population dynamics is an important part of theoretical ecology. Traditionally, population dynamics studies a closed system in which environmental factors are dealt with simply, making it difficult to understand its mechanism in ecology. Based on the energy flow between populations and between populations and the environment, this thesis establishes an energy flow balance equation for population ecosystems and deduces the dynamical models. For a single population, the models conclude the same mathematical conclusions as the Malthusian growth model and the Logistic model; there exists a classical Lotka-Volterra predatory relationship when the probability of successful predation is linear to the population of predator; and the dynamics of systems is analyzed and simulated when the probability is linear and index-related to the predator and prey and they conform to the binomial distribution. Based on energy flow, this thesis gives ecological meanings to the models.
