The stealth technology of plasma has attracted much attention from many countries around the world, due to the potential application of plasma as absorbers of electromagnetic waves. Transient electromagnetic analysis is widely applied in many electronic engineering areas. In this dissertation, Transient electromagnetic scattering from metal objects coated by plasma are studied by using Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. The research works of this dissertation are at the two parts: the scattering of unmagnetized plasma and the scattering of anisotropic magnetized plasma. The following work has mainly been done. The FDTD program of three dimension on transient far-zone was designed and validated. Piecewise Linear Current Density Recursive Convolution method and shift operator method was designed to calculate the non-magnetized plasma, and the nature of the non-magnetized plasma was discussed from the plasma parameters, thickness and distribution of the change. Piecewise Linear Current Density Recursive Convolution method and shift operator method was designed to calculate to be used to calculate magnetized plasma, both methods have certain limitations, only the calculation of magnetic field parallel to the z-axis of the situation. We promoted the Piecewise Linear Current Density Recursive Convolution to calculate arbitrary magnetic declination of the magnetized plasma. The complex targets coated by plasma to the far-zone scattering were calculated and analyzed.
