The Rhabdophis tigrina lateralis was captured in Tianshui city of Gansu Province as a study object and animal was fed at laboratory. The different periods of later embryo development were observed from morphologic view. The stomach and liver in different periods of later embryo development were observed as well. Ultrastructure of liver was studied from morphologic before and after hibernation. The protease, amylase and lipase activities in Rhabdophis tigrinus lateralis under the condition of different temperature (5℃, 15℃, 25℃, 30℃, 35℃, 40℃, 50℃) were tested by using colorimetry. The results were showed as following:(1) Morphology of embryo in the eleventh term, the twelfth term, the thirteenth, the fourteenth term, the fifteenth term, the sixteenth term of early embryo development were showed different charecteristics. The hatched eggs for experiment lived under the situation at the temperature of 20~25℃and humidity of 50~60%.(2) During the development, layers in the wall of stomach appeared at a certain sequence of time and space, that is from epithelia and lamina propria to submucosa and circular muscle layer, and then to longitudinal muscle layer.(3)The period of the later embryonic liver histological observation showed that: with the continuous development of embryos perfect, liver cells in many structures such as the liver sinusoids, central vein, Disse space, have been timid tube mature cell types and number of devices have been increased. Adult, embryonic stage of liver cells contain glycogen storage substances shows that glycogen is the main energy storage material.(4)Before and after hibernation ultrastructure of liver cells showed that: after hibernating liver mitochondria, rough endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes have decreased, and cell morphology also occurred a corresponding change in cell volume become smaller, the space between cells increases.(5)The protease, amylase and lipase activities in Rhabdophis tigrinus lateralis under the condition of different temperature (5℃, 15℃, 25℃, 30℃, 35℃, 40℃, 50℃) were studied. The results showed that the digestive enzymes activities increased with the increasing of temperature at a given range. The digestive enzyme activity in different tissues was different as well. The optimum temperature for protease in three kinds of digestive tissues was 40℃; those of amylase were 35℃except small intestine, which was 30℃. The optimum temperature of lipase in small intestine was 35℃and was 5℃higher than that in pancreatic gland.
