The 3D modeling technology of mine is becoming mature along with the proposed of the "Digital Mine"and the development of the Computer Simulation and Visualization Technology. Moreover, establishing the Digital Mine is an inevitable way for mine enterprise to achieve high production, high efficiency and safety exploitation.Based on the analysis of the present situation and developing trends of deposit visual simulation, this paper has build the geological database, 3D solids models of faultages, stratums, laneways and ore-bodies within the Fankou Lead-zinc diggings by software Surpac. By using the ordinary Kriging, grade of the useful elements has been estimated and then the geological reserves have also been calculated. It is achieved to drawing the geological sections which including ore-bodies, faultages, stratums, laneways, drills, coordinate system, scale, title bar and other primitives on the basis of geological database and 3D solid models. The main content of this paper are as follows:(1) Collecting, processing and analyzing the original data (including original borehole data, geological sections data, sample data, survey data, mining engineering data and so on ) of Fankou Lead-zinc deposit; The strings have been numbered, attribute defined and real coordinate transformed, then the coordinate are conform to reality.(2) The borehole information has been 3D visualization by building the geological database of Fankou deposit.(3) Building the models of the surface, faultages, stratums, laneways and ore-bodies, then the deposit has been 3D visualization.(4)The variogram model and its parameters which is the important basis for valuation of the block model has been determined by analyzing the combination sample data of the borehole.(5)Building the block model and calculating it by ordinary Kriging. The results of the grade and reserves which calculated by ordinary Kriging have compared with the geological block method which is used by technician in Fankou mine. Practical application shows that the deposit 3D models and the results of reserves and grade evaluation were reliable. It has a very important meaning in the work of mine resource evaluation and making the sustainable development strategy about exploitation.(6) Studying on the geological sections auto-drawing technology in Surpac. Develop the menus and toolbars which are suitable for exploitation stages of Fakou Lead-zinc deposit. Moreover, the technology of geological sections auto-drawing which including various primitives are achieved. Application results shows that the geological sections could meet the practical application need of the mine.
