As an important intracellular secondary messenger, Ca2+ regulates many physiological activities of cells. The [Ca2+]i detecting system, based on the fluorescence microscopy, is an important instrument in biophysics research. The monochromator, which emits monochromatic light, is an important part in living cell fluorescence microscopy system.In order to meet the needs of control the monochromator in different modules, monitor the system Real-time status, provide an interface to man-machine conversation and ensure the security and stability of the monochromator, a set of monochromator control system is designed. It includes internal control circuits based on EZ-USB FX2 as the core processor and manual controller. The main function such as power control logic, temperature monitor circuit based on ratio method, control circuit of grating positioning system, display of monochromator state and the automatic calibration were designed in this system. For the purpose of improving the intelligent level of the control system, the manual controller based on the IAP 8051 MCU was designed. The manual controller could communicate with microprocessor FX2 and control the monochromator without computer.The full content of this paper can be divided into three parts. The first part contains principle and functions of the system. The second part includes the design of manual controller. The third part introduces the mixed-signal circuit design and PCB layout.
