Buried hill type reservoir is important in China. Nowadays, the demonstrated reserves of this kind of reservoirs have taken up considerable proportion in the total reserves found in the Cenozoic marine facies residual basin. Therefore, study on the description and characterization methods of buried hill type reservoir is significant for the exploration of new and elusive buried hill reservoirs.Taking the Jizhong depression as example, this dissertation mainly used geophysical ways to research the description and characterization methods of buried hill type reservoir. Firstly, the effect of 3D seismic data joint processing was analyzed. Based on this, the facture methods of cadre profile and basal structure map of full area were studied. Six geological profiles and two basal structure maps, which could be used to predicate the potential area of buried hill reservoirs exploration, were finished. Secondly, Renqiu interior buried hill was used as instance to research the fine interior buried hill structure elucidation techniques mainly including the fine horizon calibration, seismic reflectance signature analysis and multi-scale coherence. Thirdly, in the base of interior buried hill seismic data analysis, the purpose processing methods of post-stack data were studied. In this dissertation, the quality factor and time-frequency analysis of energy compensation methods were mainly discussed. Finally, the interior buried hill reservoir prediction methods, based on seismic attribute analysis technology, were studied. In the foundation of interior buried hill barrier attribute analysis, the integrated attribute was developed using comprehensive parameter method. And, the integrated attribute was used to predicate the potential barrier which is crucial for the hydrocarbon accumulation of interior buried hill reservoir and can serve the petroliferous potential area predication.
