After several years of the western slope area of research and evaluation, through the thermal testing and steam stimulation trial field research, it made some valuable deliverability evaluation data and showed that the development of certain prospects. This paper studied the structural characteristics, sedimentary characteristics, reservoir characteristics of Jiang's 55 blocks and applied the volumetric method to calculate oil initially in place. Oil layer is thin in the western slope of the heavy oil reservoir. It exceeds the current development criterion of the lower limit of heavy oil throughput steam huff and puff. In this paper, there are two breakthroughs into the injecting parameters of conventional ideas and reservoir screening conditions. A number of ways are applied to demonstrate pattern blocks and distance between wells. steam huff and puff and steam drive of injection parameters are optimized and their production are forecasted through depending on the reservoir characteristics of Jiang's 55 blocks and numerical simulation study. Blocks is determined the combination development of horizontal and vertical wells for steam stimulation and steam flooding, making the effective development of such oil. Study of the project for the western slope of Daqing heavy oil fast, efficient, large-scale development to provide a scientific basis, and is of great economic value.
