The studying already structurally was having a lot of people to make the rich achievement of loess, to consolidate preconsolidation pressure study still little. Structure and preconsolidation pressure exerts a tremendous influence to settlement calculation of area in loess. Based on the achievement of research on structure , this paper analyze the structure , structural strength and consolidate the relation of preconsolidation pressure in loess, probe into the loess and consolidate the pressure to confirm the rationality of the method is and more suitable than to judge the consolidation state of the loess with OCR; In consider influence of loess under the structural strength, a commonly used one consolidate preconsolidation pressure method A. Casagrande map law act as by revising in advance to project, fetching value and foundation of the loess area making the loess consolidate the preconsolidation pressure subside and calculate more reasonable. Mainly include:1. Through to the structural narration that studies of loess, summarize the structural characteristics and structural strength characteristics of the loess. Discuss the structure of the loess with consolidating the subject problem in preconsolidation pressure, and the characteristic of the unsaturate loess to analyze to the structural characteristic and structural strength.2. Choose the typical loess to carry on the original state kind, compare with the consolidation of reinventing kind by high-pressure consolidation test. Collect relevant materials, and has carried on statistical analysis to the relation between physicmechanical parameters and OCR and preconsolidation pressure of the loess. The result shows that the structure and structural strength of loess have prominent influence on preconsolidation pressure, this brings difficulties to confirming consolidating preconsolidation pressure of loess too. Compare and analyze curve of compression, high-pressure and stress-strain relationship of the loess, research and analyze the deformation characteristic of the structural loess.3. To underconsolidation characteristic of loess, carry on mechanism analyze, expound structural loess in pressure function structural strength influence on deforming characteristic, explain that the preconsolidation pressure in test is different from in theory. Set up mathematical model, through reducing curve of reinvent soil compression, revision the preconsolidation pressure got in test. According to revision result, it explain the methods used in test at present is not applicable for unsaturated loess , but applicable for saturation loess after the structural strength revision.4. Discuss the compression characteristic of the structural loess and preconsolidation pressure and OCR influence on settlement calculation.By analyzing, we get the following results: the structure and structural strength of loess have prominent influence on mechanical characters; Because of the influence of structural strength, test try to get consolidate pressure compared with ultra consolidation to saturate loess to be applicable while being non- in advance, after carrying on revision, to that the saturation loess is applicable, the methods used in test at present is not applicable for unsaturated loess ,but applicable for saturation loess after the structural strength revision.
