Dali county lies in the east of Guanzhong basin, the content of fluoride in groundwater is high in the north of Luohe. The highest content reaches 11.8 mg/L, far above upper limit of drinking-water standard in nation (0.5~1.0 mg/L) and WHO(0.5~1.5 mg/L) rules, about 276.6 thousand people suffer from dental fluorosis, and 20.4 thousand people suffer from skeletal fluorosis ,which occupy 57% of the total population in Dali county in 1980.Therefore, it is important to study how the fluoride transfers and transforms ,and human body health effect. By field survey, analysing 329 water samples and 35 soil samples in different layers, the time-space distributing characteristics of high fluoride groundwater are studied, then effect factors and evolution laws of fluoride sources in Dali country are summarized. Combining disease datas, fluoride in groundwater is related with fluorosis, that is, fluoride affects on the human body health. The main conclusions are as followed.1. Analysis on the features of fluoride content, on space, the fluoride content is higher than 4.0 mgs/L , mainly in the east of Weihe plain, Secondly is loess plain. On time, in 1984 and 2007, fluoride content in the groundwater is consistent, only part area is various, by 2 mgs/L as boundary.2. Study on the effect factors of high fluoride in groundwater, hydrogeochemistry, dissolving and evaporation inspissation are the main functions that affect the fluoride content in groundwater.3. Simulating hydrogeochemistry distributing-belt regulation of fluoride sources by netpath XL software. In the north of Luohe, fluoride mainly comes from dissolution of fluorite and hornblende in groundwater; In the south of Luohe, fluorite, biotite, hornblende, fluorapatite are the main sources of fluoride in groundwater; Dissolution quantity of fluoride-bearing mineral in the north of Luohe is much larger than that in the south of Luohe, leading to higher fluorine in groundwater in the north of Luohe.4. There is a positive correlation between fluoride content in groundwater and fluorosis.
