With the completing of the large construction projects in the western part, such as Qinghai-Tibet Railway project, West-East Gas Transmission Project and the South-North Water Diversion project works, a good opportunity was provided for us to research the engineering geology and geotechnical engineering in cold regions。Its research, particularly slope stability research, under freeze-thaw condition, was of great significance for project construction.This paper combined with the parameters variation factors in the slope stability under freeze-thaw condition, introduced Random Field Theory to analysis soil spatial variability of its own,and summarized the relevant characteristics of frozen soil parameters. According to the probability model of the freezing-soil parameters, the Parameters indicators of the frozen soil was evaluated comprehensively.According to the special environment in which the slop of cold regions, the influencing factors of cold region slope stability was discussed, and cold region slops were classed.The slope stability in freezing process, the change law of slope stability in melting process, and the influenced factors of freeze-thaw cycles on the stability of the slope were discussed. The most dangerous sliding surface of Slope in the freezing process was determined, and then the reliability of the sliding surface was used to optimize the evaluation of it.This paper used ANSYS software simulating couple of both the temperature field and the stress field, calculate the largest deep-thaw and deep-freeze. And It came to the conclusion that the temperature field has much influence on stress field. And the influencing factors and degree on slope collapsing by the freezing-thawing parameters mutated under the temperature field environment were deeply studied.
