Landslide, a main type of slope engineering disasters, is the key problem in mine, civil engineering, hydro-power, traffic engineering. Slope failure always brings the huge loss in engineering construction. China already steps in a high developing era, and will meet more and more problems of rock-soil complound slopes. So it's quite necessary to do system research work about the structure characteristics, failure models, mechanism and stability analysis of the rock-soil complound slope.The rock-soil compound slope is usually composed of two different strata, the up one is soil and weathered rock, the base one is rock. It's a special slope which has many failure models, so stability analysis becomes difficult. It only concern the failure of up straturm,but also need to take account of the sliding of the base rock. As the model of Wangjialing coal mine rock-soil compound slope in the Shanxi province, this thesis has done a lot of research work about the failure models and mechanism, geomechanical parameters and stability analysis methods of this tpye slope.On the basis of geological investigation and materials collecting, combining in situ shear test, FEM (Finit Element Method) modelling and study achievement of other people, this thesis has conducted a systematic a analysis on the failure models and stability.The main content as follows:(1) The geological conditions of the slope are studed to lay a foundation for further research work.(2) The failure model of the rock-soil compound slope is analyzed and acquired. At last of this thesis, the disadvantagous element to the slope stabilization has been summarized.(3) The failure model of the slope is analyzed and the failure mechanism is also dicussed.(4)In situ shear test of the interface of rock soil and the weak interface in mudstone isdone and result of the test is discussed.(5)By using the right way to caculate and analysis the slope, the valuable conclusions are acquired, which will serve to the engineering construction.
