The nestling growth of Common Kestrel was studied in the natural protective area of Zuojia, Jilin province. The growth curve of body mass looked like an"S". The curve of length is close to straight line. The beak, claw, middle finger, tarsometatarsus grow fast at early stage and completed the growth in advance. The flying organs grow slowly at early stage and grow fast after 8d old. The growth curve looked like an"S"which is close to straight line. The growth of the body mass , the length of wing , tail and body could well be modeled by the Logistic equation. The result showed that: the growth of nestling in different brood size exist differences. The birth sequence have an impact on nestling growth. The gowth of chicks which born later is more slow than the growth of chicks born earlier. The growth of nestling in different sex exist significant differences. The growth of the female nestlings is previous of the males'. The parameter of body mass and organs of female nestlings is higher than the males'at all growth phases.
