The BpMADS3 gene was cloned from Betula platyphylla.This target gene was connected with plant expression vector pROKⅡ.The recombinant plasmid was transformed into tobacco by Agrobaeterium-mediated genetic transformation.To analysis the function of the BpMADS3 gene,we cultivated transgenic plants through genetic engineering methods.The main results obtained were as follows:(1) The recombinant plasmid which BpMADS3 gene was connected was transformed into tobacco by Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation.47 Kanamycin-resistant transformed tobaccos' lines were obtained.(2) Obtained transgenic tobacco seeds.We planted them on culture medium of 1/2MS with the Kanamycin which concentrantion was 35 mg·L-1.(3) Study on the T0,T1 and T2 generations of transgenic tobaccos.The results showed that blossom time of transgenic tobaccos was earlier,seeds quantity was heavier,height growth was shorter.The blossom time of To transgenic tobacco was 9.3 days earlier than the control;80.95%of transgenic tobacco lines' seeds quantity was heavier than the control. The blossom time of T1 transgenic tobacco was 1.21 days earlier than the control;all of transgenic tobacco lines' seeds quantity was heavier than the control.The blossom time of T2 transgenic tobacco was 5.11 days earlier than the control.(4) BpMADS3 gene also can influence the hight,flower colour and flower shape of tobacco.All the above results indicated that the constitutively expressed BpMADS3 gene from Betula platyphylla could shorten the blossom time and increase the quantity of the seeds.This research could provide a valuable gene to forest trees and other plants.
