Biological Safety Cabinet is one type of negative pressure filtering exhaust cabinet,the cabinet is primary used for biological safety protection of biological safety laboratory and others,preventing from operator or environment producing aerosol in laboratory.It could supply safety protection for human,product and environment.Now the most widespread available biological safety cabinets are BSC Classâ…¡,BSC Classâ…¢also begin to become popular.As the problems of criterion were exposed during biological safety cabinets' application,the domestic researches on BSCs developed fast.At present,BSC Classâ…¡mostly uses the grille panel,however,it exist problems that can not be ignored.In the paper 'Numerical Simulation of Air Distribution Mode and Optimization on Biological Safety Cabinets',the author had analyzed the grille panel's airflow in BSC Classâ…¡,and concluded that there existed air split lines as a result of grille panel's location and had triangular area in the working area,which is likely to have cross contamination would have great impact to BSC.In order to solving the problem,this paper changed the grille panel to perforated panel and maximized HEPA's area.According to the measurement in Ruiyang Company,CFD was used in this paper to research and optimize the air distribution in the BSC based on the measurement data.The research results indicated the down flow vertically downward,no spit line created and no triangular area. Turbulent current turned from floor upward to downward,and operating space air flow is more stabilize.In the arm simulation,if it was grille panel,air move round hand and the spiral radius larger than hand radius, this problem would create crossing contamination.However,perforated panel solved these problems,so perforated panel is better than grille panel. In addition,the HEPA's maximize reduced operating space's wall effect and enlarged the operator space.On this basis this paper defined the BSCs' operating space:distant left,right and behind wall 30 millimeter, front window 150 millimeter.BSC Classâ…¢is a completely sealed vacuum box,the equipment can not directly enter or be removed from BSC,but it can convenient to move goods through transfer window.In this paper,Test and CFD simulation was used to analysis and optimize the air distribution of transfer window,and concluded the program to meet the bio-security.
