Infrared antireflective film and highreflective film are film component used widely. It is applied in: chronometer, space exploration, laser detection, optical fiber communication etc. The paper briefly introduced the application of the infrared film, Specified to the wavelength of 400nm-12um, make 400nm-700nm high transmission, 1000-1600nm high reflection, design and optimized the film according the basic principle of film design, choosing the suitable high and low index materials for the light spectrum. It propose higher requirement for machine and control method because of the wider spectrum. and prepared by the Integrity-36 full automatic vacuum coating machine, with the ion assistance system to improve the film. The control method is based mainly on optical control and subsidiarily on crystal control. We tested the spectrum characteristic with UV3100PC spectrophotometer and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The methods of improving this film were studied through changing the process. And showed the ultimate design curves and the measured curves.
