Chromosome preparations were made from culture cells from blood of heart. The chromosome slides were made by the standard air drying method. The karyotypes,G-bands and C-bands of three species of Vespertilionidae Bats(Myotis.formosus walasei,Myotis ikonnikovi,Miniopterus schreibersi) from Jilin were analyzed. The G-band technique reported by Seabright(1971) and C-band technique reported by Sumner (1972) were applied. The results were as followed:â‘ Of the 3 species bats, the karyotypes of Myotis.formosus walasei and Myotis ikonnikovi were reported for the first time in China. The diploid chromosomes number and the fundamental number of autosomal arms (F.N.) of Myotis.formosus walasei and Myotis ikonnikovi are identical, they are 2n=44,N.F.=50.Their karyotypes possess all the three characteristics of standard karyotype data of Myotis:First, the diploid chromosomes number of all species of Myotis is 2n=44;Second,most species of all possess 3 pairs of big metacentric or submetacentric chromosomes and 1 pair of medium-sized metacentric or submetacentric ones; Third, the X chromosome of all species of Myotis is medium-sized metacentric or submetacentric,The Y chromosome is telocentric. The diploid chromosome number and the fundamental number of autosomal arms of Miniopterus schreibersi is coincidence with that reported by Gu Xiaoming, that is 2n=46,N.F=50,and its F.N is identical with that of Myotis.â‘¡The G-band of three species bats had not been previously reported in china. The G-bands of Myotis.formosus walasei and Myotis ikonnikovi were similar with those of Myotis reported by Bickham, and we have proved again that Myotis's bats have extremely stable and conservative karyotype in this genus. The G-band of Miniopterus schreibersi was partly homologous with those of two spices of Myotis, the No.1,3,4, 5,19,20,21 and X chromosomes of Myotis are homologous with the No.1,2,4,3,20,21,22 and X ones of Miniopterus.â‘¢The C-band of three species bats had not been previously reported in china. All the three species of bats possessed centromeric heterochromatins, but interstitial heterochromatin distributed on the No.1,2,3,4,9,11, 14 chromosome and the long arm of the No.13 chromosome and terminal heterochromatin distributed on the No.4 and 14 chromosome of Myotis.formosus walasei.â‘£The evolutionary relationship between Myotis and Miniopterus was analyzed according to their similarities and differences in karyotype,G-band and C-band.Our conclusion is that karyotyped evolutionary mechanism were probably Robertsonian disrupt.
