Source rocks provide material foundation for petroleum accumulation. Due to coring and cost limitation, as well as the heterogeneity of the source rocks, only adopting discrete experimental data to evaluate source rocks obviously exist disadvantages, what's more, the exploration degree of the study area is relatively weak, which results in poor understanding of the effective source rocks in west tidal zone, Liaohe oil filed. Because of the high resolution and the continuity of the logging, the dissertation combines the practical geological background trying to build model between logging data and the TOC, as a result, the source rocks in west tidal zone, Liaohe oil filed can be better recognised and the distribution can be predicted more reasonablely.The response of the logging about the TOC is the basis for using logging curve to recognise and evaluate source rocks. Based on the previous research, the dissertation builds the suitable model for calculating the TOC corresponding to inter-bay, turbidite sandstone body, the former Delta and mouth bar of the study area by combining the west tidal zone, Liaohe oil filed geological information and abnormal response of logging curves to source rocks. The sedimentary environment, the function of the organic abundance and type, controls the development and distribution of the source rocks. As a result, during the determination process of the parameters, the dissertation combines the sedimentary micro-facies to solve parameters in the model of different sedimentary environments. By correction, the dissertation has built four TOC calculating modelsBy using above model, the dissertation recognizes the source rocks in the study area in each formations(Es3,Es1,Ed). Combining the geological background in west tidal zone, Liaohe oil filed and the definition standard of the effective source rocks, the dissertation predicts the distribution in Hainai sag of the source rocks in Es3,Es1,Ed.By studying the influence factors of controlling the development of the source rocks, the dissertation analyzes the rationality of the distribution area of the source rocks. The dissertation evaluate source rocks of the study area by combining the thickness and geochemical index and predicts the distribution in Hainai sag of the effective and high quality source rocks. The research results not only provide consultation for the next exploration of the study area, but also provide reference for the similar geological background area.
