Hydrocarbon micro seepage is the theoretical base of Surface Geochemistry in Petroleum Exploration. However, there is no dynamic model of this mechanism supported by mathematical method, which is a crucial limitation for the development of Surface Geochemistry in Petroleum Exploration. Therefore, quantitative studies on the process that hydrocarbon component micro seep from petroleum accumulations to the surface, and hence showing micro seepage anomalies over petroleum accumulations have important significance and practical value.Taking theories of Surface Geochemistry in Petroleum Exploration, Dynamics of Fluids in Porous Media and Mathematics into consideration, this thesis make an effort to explore the quantitative relation between hydrocarbon micro seepage and halo anomaly and simulating this process. From the result of this thesis, the process simulated by computer has the same trend as the conceptual model. The main results and progresses are as follows:1. Study on the mathematical model of hydrocarbon micro seepage. First, according to the basic concept of hydrocarbon micro seepage and continuum assumption, this thesis establishes a sort of the single and multiple layer building block ideal stratigraphic model. Second, based on the law of conservation of mass, this thesis establishes a kind of mass conservation equation which is a kind of reaction-advection-dispersion partial differential equation, which can be used to describe hydrocarbon micro seepage inside the ideal stratigraphic model. The mathematical model is the foundation of the whole research.2. Study on the numerical method of the mathematical model. On the basis of the nature on this process and on the complexity of mess conservation equation, this thesis designs and implements a kind of numerical method, named two coupled, one-dimensional Splitting-corrector difference method. Based on this numerical method, the thesis conducts result analysis and interpretation.3. Numerical verification and example analysis. (1)stimulating quantitative hydrocarbon micro seepage model in the single and multiple layer building block ideal stratigraphic model, the thesis coming to the conclusion that the process simulated by computer has the same trend as the conceptual model. (2) combining with geochemistry data from HuaBao exploration area in Ordos basin, through stimulating by using the mathematical model and numerical method designed by this thesis, this thesis draws the conclusion that the process simulated by computer in the HuaBao exploration area also has the same trend as the conceptual model.Overall, this thesis explores quantitative relation between hydrocarbon micro seepage and halo anomaly and simulating this process directed by the theory of Dynamics of Fluids in Porous Media. This research provides a new idea and implementation method for hydrocarbon micro seepage mechanism.
