| The distribution of ground fissure disaster of loess is very intensive in Jingyang district.Its destruction is evident to all. Especially the cracks in the piedmont of northern mountain whose causees are complex and varied,In fact, are also the synthetical effects under a variety of factors. By the study of the geological background analysis and the spatial distribution, profile features and time characteristics of the cracks, analyse the specific factors of formation of the cracks, and on the basis of these , discuss the cause formation mechanism of the cracks.Through field investigation found that Jingyang to crack major development in the Beishan Mountain Area alluvial sector and the Loess Plateau area, but mainly in the vicinity of active faults and fault the direction of a good agreement. Analysis and research show that the Jingyang to the development of cracks in the main Kouzhen--Guan Shan of fracture and the Longquan--Tuozhao two zonal fault control, is divided into the major causes of structural and non-structural cracks and the cracks, apparently to tectonic Mainly to cracks and joints affected by the structure of the maximum. Most of the things that cracks near the basement concealed activities and distribution structure with clear relationship, but also the northeast part of North West to the "X"-type cracks in the vicinity of the North and East to the activities of the fracture. Activities by the fault which caused the crack in particular by the Kouzhen - Guan Shan fault affecting the development of cracks, by numerical simulation to explain its more developed in the near fault-especially on the reasons.
