Resources and environment is the basic conditions of human survival, reproduction and development. Resources, environment and sustainable development have become major problems which human all will face. With the gradual Reducion of oil, coal and other traditional energy, geothermal energy resources will become an important part in the future. Today, the environmental awareness of people is increasing strong, as a renewable, sustainable used energy, geothermal resources as a clean energy has been more and more concerned, are generally developed and used in the world. However, due to high temperature and water - rock interaction in deep-cycle process, geothermal water generally contain some special chemical composition, such as hydrogen sulfide gas, fluoride and lead, arsenic, mercury and other heavy metals. In recent years, domestic and foreign experts studied and found that if without recharge in the process of development and utilization and unreasonable emission of geothermal water tail, geothermal resources has damaged and polluted atmospheric environment, water environment and soil environmental, then damaged the survival of mankind environmental.The Guanzhong Basin is containing abundant geothermal esources.In recent years, it set off a climax of developing underground water resources. In order to protect environment and closer understand the pollution situation caused by development of geothermal resources, Shaanxi Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau identified the item of " Evaluation of Environmental Impact Caused by Geothermal Resources Development and Use in the Guanzhong Basin", the ecological environment pollution caused by geothermal resources development and use in the Guanzhong Basin will be investigated. Dongda town of Changan district is the town whose development and utilization scale of geothermal resources is the largest in Guanzhong Basin, whose degree of development and utilization is higher, but arbitrary emissions of used hot water polluted the environment. Therefore this paper used the Dongda town of Changan district geothermal resources development zone as an example to study the impact of geothermal resources development and utilization on the environment.Based on GIS and RS,this paper use remote sensing image data and field research information to start study. Retrieve the land surface temperature field inversion using the research area ETM+ remote sensing image data, in order to study the pollution of the environment caused by the development of geothermal resources; the soil, groundwater and other sample of the study area are analyzed, in order to study the pollution of soil ,groundwater caused by the development of geothermal resources; Finally, soil, indicators of groundwater indicators, the heat index,and vegetation indicators are selected, using composite index, the comprehensive evaluation of the study area's ecological environment quality will be done, this will provide a reliable scientific basis for the high efficiency development and utilization of the geothermal resources and the comprehensive management of the ecological environment.
