Abstract/Summary:
This paper introduces the application of GPS in moving bi-static/multi-static radar, combined with some scientific research project.Firstly, this paper gives a brief introduction on the principles and the form of GPS system; On the base of the demand of the moving bi-static/multi-static radar measuring real-time position of the transmitter and the receiver, separately the application of GPS in the radar is discussed; Formulas of the distance and the azimuth the receiver relative to the transmitter are deduced by the latitude and longitude of the receiver provided by GPS. The influences of the GPS errors on the receiver and the aims are discussed quantitatively. The simulation result shows that the GPS system can satisfy the demand of the radar. By using Direct3D, the software for displaying the position of the transmitter and the receiver is programmed, which can save and display the moving track of the receiver real time, and replaying the moving track of the receiver, directly displaying the position of the receiver on map. The research of GPS and the development of the display software from this paper are valuable for the radar.
