Remoet sensing alteration abnormal information is remote sensing information which reflects geologic phenomenon related to mineralization such as mineralizing geological background, mineral control factor and altertive rock. The author selected Heishanlin area of Beishan in Xinjinang Uighur Autonomous Region as research district in the program of 1∶50,000 regional regional Geological Survery, uses TM and ETM satellite image datas to study the extraction methods of remote sensing alteration information and its application on mineral exploration in the tectonic metallogenic belt.The first step of the research was data pretreatment to image which include geometry emendation, geography registration and using TM correcting ETM and so on. Then making an image of basic geology-physiognomy by selecting best bands combination to color composition according to statistical analysis to value feature of the TM image, and taking it as a additional fusing with ETM's pan band. So we obtained remote sensing information of stratum-rock unit and fault structure by geologic explaination and analysis. Then making spectral feature of each kind of alterative rock and wall rock along with their spectral difference. Hereby establishing method of band combination for classifying extract and enhancement extract to remote sensing mineralized alteration information based on spectrum vector. Then filtering the TM and ETM images and extracting remote sensing mineralized information by principal component analysis and ratio processing. To compare with abnormity information which extracted in front, and judge its effect, adopted IHS transform to extract enhance information. At last, based on GIS technology, making system integration and colligate process and analysis to the abnormal data such as all kinds of remote sensing mineralized information and geography, geologic mineral resources, geophysical prospecting and geography, geologic mineral resources, then making metallogenic prediction. Enclosed 6 prospecting areas which take good effect by field examination.
